Ata Atogho Deepest sympathy May 4, 2010

Embelle and Christine,

Permit me to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. Your Dad has lived a full life and has seen you both do so very well. He was very proud of you. He has left lasting memories and you need not feel too sad. He has gone to a better place and rests comfortably in the bossom of the Lord. Take heart as we all celebrate the life of a Great Man and wonderful father. God Bless.

My condolences to the Njeuma family on the loss of Prof. Martin Njeuma. I met him once at the residence of late Pr. Jacob Ngu Lifangi in Bastos in 1986 when he challenged my cousin Daryl to a game of tennis at the American Club. Our paths also crossed at the Faculty of Arts where Ii worked in the 1980's and once during a mass at Elig Effa. The Prophet Job consoles us with the Lord giving and taking. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

In Zulu we say Hamba Kahle Prof. Njeuma (Farewell Prof. Njeuma).

Embelle, Christy and family,

Just to let you know we are praying for the repose of Uncle's soul and for God's guidance and mercies during this difficult period in your lives. Remember Psalm 30:5: Weeping may last for the night but joy comes in the morning.

May He Rest in Peace in God's Abode.

Dear Prof,

I met you for the first time in Amphi 150 in UNIBU. This was the first time in the secular world that I learnt a great deal of humility overflowing from greatness as that imbued in your person. Besides, I will live to remember you for your calm and meditative choice of language.

Historiography is the craft you injected in me in those old good days of UB. That forever remains the mark indelible you've left in me.

While your entire family, academia and most especially the history college mourn you, I join them with my very feeble prayers in wishing you a perfect rest in the Lord.

Adieu Prof.

To Members of the Njeuma Family

I am writing to express my condolences to all of you. I did not know Professor Njeuma, but as a Cameroonian and a fellow human being, I am deeply touched by his loss. My thoughts and prayers go to all of you during this difficult time. May the Lord Bless all of you.

May his soul rest in perfect peace. Embie, Christie and the rest of the family, please remain steadfast in your faith for our God is indeed a good God. We may not always understand His ways but I hope you can at least find solace and comfort in the happy memories that will forever remain with you.

To the Njeuma's,

The Lord had given and He has taken. Blessed  be the name of the Lord. Late Prof Njeuma taught me History back in 1993 when I just enolled into UB. He was a true father to all of us and kept his office open for support. I think he helped shaped me to what I am today and I thank the Lord for meeting such a good man in my Life. In the Bible we all hear the famous line that there are many rooms in my fathers  house. We pray and hope that the Lord will reserve a room for you. Rest in peace Prof and may the Angels guide you. Adieu
