Ralph A. Austen Condolence May 5, 2010

Dear  Dorothy,

I was very saddened to hear of Martin's passing.  He was always very hospitable and collegial to me when I visited Cameroon and I was also happy to entertain him in Chicago on at least one occasion (the other time he was hiding in Evanston in order to complete his book, an admirable act of self-restraint for someone so sociable).  He will be much missed and well-remembered.  My condolences to your entire family.  Ralph Austen

Marte Sinderud Condolences May 5, 2010

Dear Mrs. Njeuma,

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your husband. I first met Professor Njeuma in Cameroon when I was a graduate student many years ago, and have interacted with him on occasions later on, both in Norway and in Cameroon. He was a great scholar and a warm and including person. Professor Njeuma will be greatly missed.

I extend my sympathy to the whole family. He always talked about his dear daughters.

Sincerely

Marte Sinderud

I WAS TAKEN WITH SHOCK AND DISBELIEF TO LEARN OF THE PASSING  OF PROF.

PROF WAS ONE OF THOSE ICONS WHO WILL RARELY TALK AND IF HE DID, HE WAS SAYING SOMETHING  INTERESTING AND MEANINGFUL. I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS IN THE UNIVERSITY OF BUEA, AND ABOUT TO TAKE MY LONG ESSAY IN MY FINAL YEAR, I MET PROF ON THE ROAD, AND GREETED HIM AND IMMEDIATELY HE WAS GIVING ME A CLUE OF WHAT I WAS EXPECTED TO WRITE, BECAUSE HE OVERHEARD ME TALKING ABOUT IT WITH A FRIEND.

YOU ALL CAN IMAGINE HOW HEAVY MY HEART IS RIGHT NOW. BUT I KNOW THAT THE FATHER, SCHOLAR, MENTOR, GUIDE THAT HE WAS, HE WILL BE KEPT BY GOD IN HIS RIGHT HAND, AND WILL ENJOY ETERNAL HAPPINESS. MAY HIS FAMILY ESPECIALLY HIS WIFE TAKE HEART AND MAY HE REST IN PERFECT PEACE. BERTRAND

Mosoke Lucas Lyonga A great loss May 5, 2010

This is a Great loss to us Cameroonians and to the Families Concerned. Uncle Zac is rated amongst the Humble Professors I know. Our Aunt Prof. Mrs. Dorothy L. Njeuma was privileged to be the wife of this humble man. Uncle Zac has surely contributed much to the bright future of most Cameroonian Youths.  As the Family will miss him physically, his works will never be missing.   My prayer is that he should truly meet the Lord which is as a result of his Christian living.

May God Keep, guide and protect the entire Family.

Dear Embelle & Christine!
With Gratitude to God for a life so devotedly lived, I learn with pain of the passing of your beloved father. To you he was a loving Dad, to all us he was the always graceful Uncle Zac. As hard as it is to overcome the pain his departure leaves in your hearts, may you both be comforted in the assurance double sure, that he is with the Lord! Our family`s thoughts and prayers are with you, and sincere condolence. Please transmit to Auntie Limunga!
love always

Clement EtokeNgide, MD Condolence May 5, 2010

Bernadette Njeuma, Dorothy Njeuma ( My VC ) and the entire Njeuma's family.

The Professor has been a fighter and has just gone to continue fighting for a better Njeuma family.

Yes he has touched lives and imparted knowledge during his fight here on earth.

Bernadette Njueuma and the Njeuma family, as you mourn and shed tears that run down your cheeks during this huge loss, the Professor is right there catching and wiping them out like "make-up". His smile brings light on to you.

At this time of loss, be strong, cry not, he has simply been called to sit at the right hand of the Lord and prepare a better place for you. We love him, but God loves him most.

He that giveth, taketh.

Prof, may your soul RIPP.
